This is one of my WHYs…

•Why I walked away from a six-figure income 💰
•Why I fight an uphill 🏔️ battle for work that doesn’t always cover the groceries 🥖
•Why I can’t always find my YES 🙌 because sometimes NO is a word ❌
•Why I’m committed to hard conversations 💬
•Why I’m learning to be okay with the loss that comes from these choices 💔

If you’ve lost someone to addiction, suicide, or other byproducts of our unjust systems, you know it changes you forever. It changes the way you see the world 🌍, the country 🇺🇸, people 👥.

It’s the work we do daily that saves lives ❤️‍🩹. The work that makes sure not only that resources exist, but that we are *over-communicating* them 📣, making sure they’re *brought* to the people who need them 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️.

Expecting someone in a burning house 🏠🔥 to not only find the resources but to *prove* they need them is the definition of inaccessibility 🚫. We have to change that.

**So, I challenge you:**
👉 How are you supporting your community?
👉 What actions are you taking to ensure youth and community development?
👉 What are you doing to push for policies that truly support these initiatives?

This life truly is so FULL

It’s funny, as we pulled out of our tent site Derek said

“It’ll be funny to see what the pictures say about this trip” 🤣🤣🤪

He was so right!!

The truth is this trip (truthfully most of our trips) was hard

For all kinds of reasons (and I’d be surprised if any family with kids under 10 disagrees!!!)

Lots of patience required
Lots of forgiveness MANDATORY
Lots of starting overs and
Lots of finding our “YES(s)”

Yet we had so much of the yumminess🤤… the fill your heart and soul up with warmth and goodness moments!!!

I’m just making a commitment to slow down, breathe, and savor the beauty of now. ✨

To stay committed to the course🗺️ and
To having FAITH over fear

In my work of empowering others, I’m not only reminded of how important it is to nourish my own spirit, but one reason I LOVE it, is because it holds me to a higher level of accountability.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 These moments with my family are a gift, teaching me to slow down, embrace the present, and truly enjoy the journey. 🌻

So many friends stepped up and took my kids over the past three weeks so that this could be possible!! They are the real magic makers, thank you for being our families support and helping me do this work!!

My husband is a saint - he is so patient and supportive with my passion! He believes in what I can do and picks up so much to help create the space for me to do this 😘😘

What could next year have in store?!? At this rate guys, it could be 💣💣💣
