Hi, I am Victoria!

From a young age, I have been questioning the stories we are told growing up. The place we are told to occupy, the beliefs we are told to have, the ways we are “supposed” to act.

I struggled come to accept some of these stories, they just felt too painful, too unjust. I had to understand better so the journey began.

Truthfully it makes sense, being a half-adopted, Latina female raised in the deep south (Mississippi) by a well meaning but addiction and mental health riddled white American family, I obviously had some questions about my reality.

Through it all, I somehow managed to pull out, honestly excel out!

Through it all, I somehow managed to pull out, honestly excel out!

The peak of my step father’s addiction and my mother’s mental & physical health destruction excelling hit around 15 so I got to work. Luckily, a book came along that gave me hope and a new foundation to grow from, Siddartha. My journey of self awareness, practicing non-attachment and believing in the power I had was ignited!

I committed to learning, to never being victim to other’s choices, to taking control of my life and being a strong ass independent educated woman!

Decades later, here we are:
• College Graduate with honors and a BS in Biology, first in my immediate family!
• Successful 11-year Healthcare IT career, working on numerous complex-high level reporting projects that allowed me to cultivate and hone my natural project-management/goal oriented processes
• Military Spouse and OPINIONATED Mother of two wild animals that are a physical representation of the fire I hold within!
• Brain surgery survivor!

My life was what I had fought for, it was what I was out to prove I was worthy of – and I was miserable – so distant from my purpose so many values in conflict and I began to get sick. Nothing made sense, I felt out of control, victim and angry at everyone who had put me in this place.

Then a series of events unfolded, the tragic loss of a close friend I never knew was hurting, my father succumbing to his addiction and finding out I had a brain disorder and surviving brain surgery plus so much more… I could just no longer go with the flow, follow the path that was laid out for all of us to take. The universe refused to stop sending me a message that there was more, that I had agency, that I could CHOOSE, so I finally surrendered to it and allowed myself and my life to change.

First by becoming a Certified Professional Coach through the ICF-accredited Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, which propelled me into so much more! Now in addition to being a CPC, I am a Parent Leader, Yoga Teacher, Community Advocate, Youth Program Curriculum developer and facilitator!

My appetite to educate myself and act just grew and became such a fun space for creativity, connection and meaning!

Just like you, over my lifetime I have lived many stories and played many roles. As women, we often become so intimately connected with these stories, these roles, that we loose ourselves.
We become burnt out, resentful, and begin to adjust our dreams and our standards.

I believe that using these stories and our experience gained through them as data, rather than definition, we can truly start to unearth the truth of Who we are, What we want and How to use what we have to get there.

It takes conscious, consistent effort to shift the perspective of identities we hold rather than experiences we have gained.

I can’t wait to meet you and hear your stories, where you want to go and support you in building your legacy
